ClinConnect Summary
This study in Turkey is testing whether a short training session for expectant mothers about childhood vaccines can reduce vaccine hesitation and improve vaccine literacy (how well someone understands and uses vaccine information). It uses a randomized design: some participants will receive the training during pregnancy, while others will not receive any training. The researchers will check two outcomes about three weeks after the training: how literate the mother is about vaccines and how hesitant she is about vaccines.
Eligible participants are women aged 18 to 45 who are pregnant, able to read and write, and willing to participate. Those with adolescent pregnancy (under 18), communication problems, a psychiatric condition, a chronic disease, illiteracy, or who do not volunteer will not be eligible. The study is being conducted at Yüzüncü Yıl University in Van, Turkey, and plans to enroll about 80 participants. Recruitment started in July 2024, with results expected later in 2024. As of now, no results have been posted.
