ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is investigating how different treatments for shoulder dislocations affect patients in the emergency department. Specifically, researchers want to understand the characteristics of patients who come in with an anterior shoulder dislocation, such as how the injury happened, the level of pain before and after treatment, and how long they stay in the emergency department. They will also look at the outcomes for patients, like whether they were sent home or needed to be admitted to the hospital.
To be eligible for this study, you need to be at least 18 years old and able to provide consent. However, if you are unconscious upon arrival, have allergies to certain pain medications, or have multiple serious injuries, you will not be included. If you participate, you can expect to have your pain levels assessed and your treatment experience documented, which will help researchers determine the effectiveness of the current methods used for treating shoulder dislocations.
