ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at two different treatments for a condition called trigger finger, which causes pain and difficulty moving the fingers. The researchers want to find out if an injection of platelet-rich plasma (PRP), which is made from the patient's own blood, can help relieve pain and improve hand strength compared to a standard treatment known as Depo-Medrol steroid injection. They will track how well each treatment works over time.
To participate in this study, you need to be 18 years or older and have mild to moderate trigger finger without having had any previous treatments for that finger. If you join, you will receive one of the two injections and then visit the clinic every four weeks for check-ups. The team will monitor your progress and record any changes in your symptoms. Currently, the trial is not yet recruiting participants, but it’s an exciting opportunity to help find better treatments for trigger finger.
