ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying the development and quality of life of preterm infants, those born before 37 weeks of pregnancy. The researchers want to understand how these infants grow and participate in daily activities as they age, comparing them to healthy children. By tracking the progress of 150 preterm infants and 60 full-term infants over three years, the study aims to find ways to help improve their health and overall well-being.
To be eligible for this study, infants must be between 0 to 3 years old, have been born preterm, be in stable health, and have caregivers who can communicate in Mandarin Chinese. Participants will be assessed multiple times throughout the study to monitor their development and quality of life, and caregivers will receive reports on their child's progress. The findings from this trial are expected to enhance support services for preterm infants and help families understand what to expect in their child's growth.
