ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying the effects of infrared (IR) LED light therapy on wound healing and scar formation in patients who have undergone laparoscopic cholecystectomy, a surgery to remove the gallbladder. The researchers want to see if applying this special light after surgery can help wounds heal better and reduce scarring. The trial is taking place at Erzurum City Hospital from August 15, 2024, to August 30, 2025, and involves 80 participants who will be randomly divided into two groups: one will receive the IR light therapy, while the other will not.
To be eligible for this study, participants must be between 18 and 65 years old, in good health without chronic diseases like diabetes or high blood pressure, and willing to volunteer for the study. Participants will receive the IR light treatment on the first two days after surgery and will return to the hospital for follow-up evaluations on the 15th and 30th days to assess their wounds, pain levels, and overall satisfaction with care. This trial aims to find a painless and effective way to improve recovery after gallbladder surgery, and your involvement could contribute to valuable insights in this area.
