ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying the physical demands and injury risks faced by caregivers who work in long-term care facilities. Caregivers often help transfer and handle residents, which can lead to work-related injuries, especially due to the heavy lifting and physical tasks involved in their jobs. The researchers aim to gather information on daily work activities and how they affect caregivers' health using surveys and measurements of physical stress, like heart rate. This information will help develop better training and support programs to prevent injuries.
To participate in this study, caregivers must be full-time employees who are at least 19 years old and are directly involved in caring for residents. Unfortunately, part-time caregivers or those not responsible for resident care cannot join. Participants will fill out questionnaires and undergo some physical measurements, which will help create new strategies to make their work safer and healthier. This study is currently recruiting participants, and your involvement could help improve safety for caregivers like you.
