ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is studying how two different treatment techniques—reciprocal inhibition and post facilitation muscle energy technique—work alongside regular physical therapy for people with piriformis syndrome. Piriformis syndrome can cause ongoing pain in the buttocks and hip area, and this study aims to see which treatment is more effective in reducing pain, improving hip movement, and helping people regain their normal activities.

To participate in this trial, you need to be between 20 and 50 years old, and have had chronic pain in your buttock or hip for at least three months. You should also have a shortened piriformis muscle, which can be checked during the study. However, if you have certain conditions like infections, trauma history, or joint disorders, you may not be eligible. Participants will receive one of the two treatment techniques along with conventional physical therapy, and the effects will be monitored to find out which approach works best. This trial is currently recruiting participants, so if you're interested or think you might qualify, consider reaching out for more information.
