ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how progressive muscle relaxation (PMR) exercises can help pregnant women who are experiencing lumbopelvic pain (lower back or pelvic pain) and trouble sleeping. PMR involves tensing and relaxing different muscle groups in a specific order to promote relaxation and potentially ease discomfort. The goal of this study is to see if these exercises can reduce pain and improve sleep quality during pregnancy.
To participate in this trial, women must be between the ages of 20 and 40, currently pregnant, and in their second or third trimester. They should have uncomplicated pregnancies and report a pain level of more than 3 out of 10 on a pain scale, along with some difficulty sleeping. However, women with specific issues like heart or lung diseases, or those experiencing certain types of pain or complications, will not be eligible. Participants can expect to learn and practice PMR exercises, which may help them feel more relaxed and comfortable during their pregnancy.
