ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying the effects of high load strength training combined with specific stretching exercises aimed at the plantar fascia, a band of tissue on the bottom of the foot, in male athletes who have been diagnosed with plantar fasciitis. Plantar fasciitis is a common condition that causes heel pain, especially in active individuals. The goal of the study is to see if these two types of exercises can help improve pain, mobility, and overall foot function in participants.
To be eligible for this trial, participants must be male athletes aged between 20 and 35 who have been experiencing heel pain for at least two weeks. They need to have a specific type of pain when the doctor presses on the affected area. Participants will undergo assessments before and after the exercise program to measure their pain levels and how well they can move their feet. This trial will take place over ten months in sports clubs, and it is currently looking for volunteers who meet the criteria and are willing to participate. If you or someone you know fits this description, this could be an opportunity to contribute to research that aims to improve treatment options for plantar fasciitis.
