ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is investigating how fibromyalgia syndrome (a condition that causes widespread pain and fatigue) relates to obstructive sleep apnea syndrome (OSAS), which is a sleep disorder where breathing repeatedly stops and starts due to a blockage in the airway during sleep. The researchers want to understand if certain body measurements, like neck and waist size, change in patients who have both conditions. This study is important because it may help identify how these two conditions are connected and improve care for affected individuals.
To participate in the study, you need to be a female between 18 and 65 years old who has been diagnosed with fibromyalgia and is either being treated for sleep disorders or has been diagnosed with OSAS. If you decide to join, you will help researchers gather valuable information about how these conditions impact each other. It’s important to know that men and individuals under 18, as well as those with certain other medical conditions, will not be eligible to participate. The study is not yet recruiting participants, but it aims to shed light on the relationship between fibromyalgia and sleep apnea, which could lead to better treatment options in the future.
