ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is studying how warm water foot baths can help manage fever in young children. Fever is a common symptom in kids, and this study aims to see if using foot baths can lower body temperature and reduce discomfort without relying heavily on medication. The trial will involve children aged 1 to 5 years old who have a fever of 38.3°C (100.9°F) or higher and have just received a dose of paracetamol, a common medicine for fever.

To participate, children must be generally healthy, without any chronic illnesses, and their parents must agree to take part in the study. If chosen, families can expect to try warm water foot baths and monitor how it affects their child's fever and pain levels. Importantly, this study has not begun recruiting participants yet, so families should keep an eye out for updates if they are interested in being part of this promising research aimed at finding safer ways to help manage fever in children.
