ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is studying a new way to reduce tooth sensitivity that can occur during tooth whitening treatments. It specifically looks at using a special type of laser called the Er:YAG laser to help prevent discomfort when patients undergo whitening with hydrogen peroxide, which is a common bleaching agent. Participants in the trial will be between 18 and 45 years old and must have healthy front teeth without any cavities or past whitening treatments.

Those who join the study will have one side of their mouth treated with the laser before whitening, while the other side will receive a different treatment to compare results. Throughout the study, participants will be asked to report their sensitivity levels and the color change of their teeth at different times. This research aims to find out if the laser can effectively reduce sensitivity during the whitening process. It's important to note that people with certain conditions, such as gum disease or those who smoke, won't be eligible to participate.
