ClinConnect Summary
The Running Online Injury Prevention Feasibility Study is looking to see if it's possible to gather reliable information while participants follow a standard 12-week training program for a half-marathon. The goal is to understand how well participants can stick to the training recommendations and whether they can safely train without getting injured. This study is not currently recruiting participants, but it aims to help shape a larger study in the future.
To participate, you need to be a cis-gender female aged 18 or older, have been injury-free for at least three months, and have been running regularly (about three times a week) for the past six months. You also need to have a GPS-enabled smart watch to track your runs, wear a shoe size between 6.5 and 8.5, and be able to attend an in-person orientation session. If you’re currently experiencing any pain while running, you wouldn't be eligible for this study. Participants can expect to follow a structured training program while providing feedback on their experience, which will help researchers learn more about preventing running injuries in the future.
