ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying a treatment called Ultra Phonophoresis, which uses sound waves to help deliver a gel containing hyaluronic acid to the affected area, in patients with carpal tunnel syndrome who have had a mastectomy. The goal is to see if this treatment can improve symptoms when combined with traditional physical therapy and medical care. In the study, 60 women, aged between 40 and 55, will be divided into two groups: one group will receive the new treatment along with their regular therapy, while the other group will just continue with their standard therapy.
To participate in this trial, women must be between 40 and 55 years old, have been undergoing hormonal therapy for at least six weeks, and have been referred by a doctor for carpal tunnel syndrome. However, those with certain conditions, like severe swelling in the arms (lymphedema) or recent steroid treatments for carpal tunnel syndrome, will not be eligible. If you join the study, you can expect to attend five treatment sessions each week for three weeks, which may help ease your symptoms and improve your hand function. This trial is not yet recruiting participants, but it aims to gather important information about this potential new therapy.
