ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying a method called the Inferior Vena Cava Collapsibility Index (IVCCI) to help manage fluid therapy in women with a condition called preeclampsia. Preeclampsia can cause dangerously high blood pressure and other complications during pregnancy, especially when preparing for a cesarean section. The trial aims to see if using a specialized ultrasound can provide better information about a patient's fluid status, which is important because the current methods can be risky or not very accurate.
To be eligible for this study, participants need to be critically ill women diagnosed with preeclampsia who are scheduled for a cesarean section. However, those with severe heart, liver, or kidney problems, or who cannot undergo spinal anesthesia, will not be included. Women who choose not to participate will also be excluded. If you join this trial, you can expect to undergo the ultrasound assessment as part of your preoperative care, which could help improve your treatment and safety during surgery.
