ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying whether listening to music during a cesarean delivery (C-section) helps improve the satisfaction of patients and their support persons. Participants will be asked to fill out a short survey after the procedure to share their feelings about the experience, and their vital signs will be monitored throughout the surgery.
To join this study, participants must be women who are having a scheduled C-section at Geisinger Medical Center, specifically for their second or third pregnancy. They should be at least 37 weeks along in their pregnancy and able to speak English. Unfortunately, those with certain conditions, such as a multiple pregnancy or hearing impairment, won't be eligible. If you choose to take part, you can expect a supportive environment where music might be played during your surgery, and your feedback will help healthcare providers understand how to improve patient experiences in the future.
