ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at different ways to manage pain for patients undergoing total knee replacement surgery, also known as total knee arthroplasty. Specifically, the study will compare a standard method of pain relief, which involves three injections near a specific muscle, to a modified method that includes an additional injection deeper in the thigh. The goal is to see which method provides better pain control after the surgery.
To participate in this trial, you should be generally healthy, classified as ASA physical status I-III, which means you have mild to moderate health issues but are not severely ill. However, if you have a body mass index (BMI) over 35, certain neurological problems, or issues that could affect your ability to move after surgery, you may not be eligible. Participants can expect to receive the new pain management technique and will be monitored throughout the process to assess its effectiveness. This study is not yet recruiting, but it aims to help improve pain management for future knee surgery patients.
