ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is studying how interstitial lung disease, specifically a condition called interstitial pulmonary fibrosis (IPF), might increase the risk of heart problems. Researchers at Assiut University Hospital are looking to recruit patients who have been diagnosed with IPF to learn more about how this lung condition can affect heart health. They will check for heart-related issues through various tests, including medical history reviews, heart rhythm tests (ECG), cholesterol levels, and heart ultrasound (echocardiography).

To be eligible for this study, you need to have a confirmed diagnosis of interstitial pulmonary fibrosis. The study aims to gather important information about your health, but participation is completely voluntary—if you choose not to join, that’s perfectly fine. If you decide to take part, you can expect a thorough assessment of your cardiovascular health, which may help in understanding the relationship between lung disease and heart problems better.
