ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying the effectiveness of Evening Primrose Oil in helping to start labor in pregnant women. The researchers want to see if this natural oil can make it easier for women who are at least 38 weeks pregnant to begin labor, especially those who may need medical assistance to do so.
To participate in the trial, women must be pregnant with a single baby and have a specific medical condition that indicates they need to induce labor. They should also have a Bishop score of less than 6 (which means their body hasn’t started the labor process much yet) and less than 2 cm of cervical dilation (meaning their cervix hasn't opened much). However, women who have had certain types of surgeries in the past or have complications with their pregnancy, like a low-lying placenta or multiple babies, won’t be eligible to participate. The trial is not yet recruiting participants, so there’s still time to learn more before considering joining.
