ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is looking at a new way to test vision, called an Automated Self-administered Visual Acuity System. The goal is to create a fast and accurate vision test that people can do on their own, using technology like voice recognition and computer vision. This is important because many vision tests today take a lot of time and require trained staff, leading to long wait times in clinics. By developing this new system, researchers hope to make vision testing quicker and more efficient, especially as more people need these tests due to aging.

To participate in the trial, you need to be at least 21 years old and able to give consent. You should have some vision (at least being able to count fingers), be able to speak clearly, and know how to use a digital device like a smartphone. However, if you use a wheelchair or walking aids, have hearing or speech difficulties, cognitive impairments, or your vision is worse than counting fingers, you won’t be eligible. Since the trial is not yet recruiting participants, there will be additional information available later about what to expect during the study. It's a great opportunity for eligible individuals to contribute to the advancement of vision testing technology.
