ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying a new digital home care service designed specifically for patients with a colostomy or ileostomy, which are types of surgical openings created after colon surgery for cancer. The goal is to help patients manage their stoma care better using a smartphone application. This app will provide support in various areas, including physical health, emotional well-being, and social connections, ultimately aiming to improve the quality of life for these patients.
To participate in this trial, you need to be at least 19 years old and have had a colostomy or ileostomy after surgery for colon cancer. It's important that you are comfortable using a smartphone, as the trial will focus on using this technology for self-management. If you are older than 80, have certain cognitive or psychiatric conditions, or have had emergency surgery or complications related to your stoma, you may not be eligible. Participants can expect to use the app to receive guidance and support related to their stoma care, helping them feel more confident and connected.
