ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at how being cold during and after surgery (a condition known as perioperative hypothermia) affects patients when they wake up from anesthesia, particularly if they feel confused or agitated. The goal is to understand if there is a connection between these two issues, which could help improve recovery experiences for patients after surgery.
To participate in this study, you need to be between 18 and 65 years old and scheduled for a planned surgery that will take at least 30 minutes. You also need to be in generally good health, as indicated by specific medical classifications. Unfortunately, if you have certain health conditions, are taking specific medications, or are having emergency surgery, you won’t be able to join the trial. If you decide to participate, you can expect to be monitored closely and to answer some questions about your experience during and after surgery. This research could help doctors provide better care and support for patients in the future.
