ClinConnect Summary

The Realist Women Study is looking at whether a special program using virtual reality (VR) can help Black women manage stress and improve their heart health, particularly focusing on high blood pressure. The study will explore how effective VR is in reducing stress, improving sleep, and enhancing overall well-being. They are also interested in any challenges participants might face while using the VR technology.

To join this study, participants need to be Black women aged 21 or older, live in South Florida, and speak English fluently. They should also have a diagnosis of high blood pressure. However, individuals with a history of serious mental health issues, vision problems, cognitive impairments, epilepsy, or severe motion sickness will not be eligible. If you participate, you'll have the opportunity to engage with VR programs and share your experiences, helping to understand how this technology can support health in the future.
