ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying whether an informative video can help reduce anxiety and increase satisfaction for women undergoing elective Caesarean sections using spinal anaesthesia. The researchers believe that watching this video will make patients feel less anxious and more satisfied with their experience compared to those who only receive the usual pre-surgery information. The trial will involve women who are having their first elective Caesarean section and are generally healthy, as determined by their doctor's assessment.
If you are a woman between the ages of 18 and 74 and are undergoing an elective Caesarean section, you may be eligible to participate. In the study, participants will be randomly assigned to either watch the video or receive standard care before their surgery. Researchers will check in on how anxious participants feel and how satisfied they are after the procedure using simple questionnaires. The aim is to see if the video truly makes a difference in how women feel during this important time.
