ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at the appropriateness of a procedure called angioplasty, which helps open blocked arteries in patients with chronic coronary syndromes (CCS) such as coronary artery disease and angina (chest pain). The goal is to determine if angioplasty is being used correctly and effectively for patients who have not found relief from their symptoms with medication alone. The study is particularly important in Brazil, where there hasn't been much research on this topic yet.
To participate in this trial, you need to be between the ages of 65 and 74 and have undergone an elective angioplasty, which means the procedure was planned ahead of time and not done in an emergency. If you have had a heart problem within the last 30 days, you won't be eligible to join. If you do take part, you can expect to help researchers understand how well angioplasty works for patients like you, which could lead to better treatment options in the future.
