ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying a new way to help teenagers and young adults aged 15 to 24 who are living with HIV in Uganda. The goal is to create a mobile health program that uses social media to keep these young people engaged in their healthcare. This age group is often at higher risk for health complications related to HIV, so the hope is that by improving their connection to care, we can help them live healthier lives and reduce the spread of HIV.
To participate in this study, you should be between 15 and 24 years old and either new to HIV care or returning after being away for at least six months. You also need to be able to speak English or Runyankole, the local language, and have access to a smartphone. For the counselors involved in the study, they need to be at least 18 years old and have worked at the HIV clinic for at least one year. Participants can expect to learn more about their health and receive support through this innovative program. The study is not yet recruiting, but it aims to make a significant difference for young people living with HIV in Uganda.
