ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is comparing two methods of pain relief for patients undergoing a type of lung surgery called video-assisted thoracoscopic surgery (VATS). The two pain management techniques being studied are called the Ultrasound-guided Serratus Posterior Superior Block (SPSPB) and the Ultrasound-guided Serratus Anterior Plane Block (SAPB). Both methods aim to help reduce pain after surgery, as managing pain is very important for recovery and can help prevent complications like lung infections.
To participate in this trial, individuals must be between the ages of 18 and 75 and scheduled for VATS surgery with general anesthesia. Certain health conditions, such as bleeding disorders or allergies to pain medications, may prevent someone from joining. Participants can expect to receive one of the two pain relief methods and will be monitored for their effectiveness in managing pain after the surgery. This study is important because it will help determine which method works better for pain relief in patients undergoing this type of lung surgery, ultimately improving patient care.
