ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying an online parenting program called Parenting in the Moment (PIM) to see how effective it is for families who have been forcibly displaced, such as refugees or those who have migrated due to conflict or disaster. The goal is to help these families improve their parenting skills, which can lead to better safety and well-being for their children. In this study, 720 families will be involved, with half participating in the PIM program and the other half receiving a list of family resources while they wait for access to the program after the study ends.
To be eligible, a family must have a primary caregiver who is at least 18 years old and taking care of a child aged 6 to 12. The caregiver should have experienced forced displacement within the past ten years and be able to participate in the program in English, Spanish, Arabic, or French. Participants will be asked to complete surveys and take part in video conversations about their family interactions at different points during the study. This research aims to provide valuable insights into how online parenting programs can support families facing challenges due to displacement.
