ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying two different methods to help control pain after a surgery called Modified Radical Mastectomy, which is often performed to treat breast cancer. The two methods being compared are called the Thoracic Interfascial Plane Block (TIPB) and the Erector Spinae Plane Block (ESPB). The goal is to find out which method offers better pain relief, causes fewer side effects, and helps patients feel more satisfied with their care after surgery.
Women aged 21 and older who are scheduled for this type of surgery at Ain Shams University hospitals can join the study, as long as they meet certain health criteria. During the study, participants will randomly receive one of the two pain control methods before their surgery. Researchers will keep track of how much pain medication they need, how quickly they feel relief, and any side effects they may experience. They will also look at factors like sleep quality and overall satisfaction with pain management. By learning which method works better, this study aims to improve pain management for future patients and possibly reduce the use of stronger pain medications.
