ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how aerobic exercise affects heart health and other body functions in young athletes. Researchers want to understand if there’s a connection between how well children can perform in aerobic activities, like running, and their heart rate, blood pressure, and breathing. They are particularly interested in children who practice sports like boxing, weightlifting, taekwondo, and swimming. The trial will also look at whether the length of time these kids have been training impacts their heart health and breathing.
To participate, children aged 6 to 18 who have been training in one of the four sports for at least three months can join. Before the exercise test, participants will have their heart activity, blood pressure, and breathing measured. Then, they will complete a 20-meter shuttle run test, which is a fun way to assess their aerobic capacity. After the test, the same measurements will be taken again. This study is not currently recruiting participants, but it aims to gather important information about how exercise influences young athletes' health.
