ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying the best way to repair small, simple cuts on the face, known as facial lacerations. The researchers want to compare two methods: traditional stitches (sutures) and adhesive strips, which are like sticky bandages. They hope to find out if people are happier with the results and if the scars look better when adhesive strips are used instead of stitches. Since the face is a sensitive area, getting good cosmetic results and keeping scars to a minimum is very important.
To be eligible for this study, participants must be adults over 18 years old who have small cuts on their faces that are less than 2.5 centimeters long. Unfortunately, younger individuals, pregnant women, and those in jail cannot participate. If you join the study, you can expect to have your laceration repaired with either method, and then researchers will gather information about your satisfaction and the appearance of your scar. This trial is not yet recruiting participants, so stay tuned for more updates if you think you might be interested!
