ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying the effects of using extremely low-frequency magnetic fields on patients who have recently had a stroke. After a stroke, it’s important for patients to receive rehabilitation to help them recover and regain their independence. Researchers are looking to see if magnetotherapy, which involves using magnets to help reduce inflammation and improve recovery, is more effective when applied to different parts of the body, specifically the head or the pelvis. Participants will be divided into three groups: one group will not receive magnetotherapy, while the other two groups will receive it on either the head or pelvis, alongside their standard rehabilitation treatment.
To be eligible for the study, participants need to be at least 60 years old and have experienced an ischemic stroke (the most common type of stroke) within the last two weeks. However, those with severe impairments, previous strokes, or certain other health conditions may not qualify. If someone joins the study, they can expect to receive additional therapy that could potentially enhance their recovery, while also contributing to important research on stroke rehabilitation. Overall, this trial aims to better understand how magnetotherapy can improve the healing process after a stroke.
