ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is comparing two popular video game systems—Xbox Kinect Sports and Nintendo Switch Sports—to see how they affect physical health in older women who are not currently active. The study will look at changes in body composition, like body fat and muscle mass, as well as physical performance, which includes tests for grip strength, balance, and how quickly a person can get up and walk. Participants will be divided into three groups: one group will play Xbox Kinect Sports, another will play Nintendo Switch Sports, and the third group will not play any games.
To be eligible for this study, women need to be between 60 and 75 years old, able to follow simple instructions, and independent in their daily activities. They should not have any significant health issues or injuries that could affect their ability to participate. Those who join can expect to attend regular sessions where they will play the games and participate in physical tests. This is a great opportunity for older women looking to improve their health in a fun and engaging way, while also contributing to research that may help others in the future.
