Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Cardiac Arrest

ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is studying how accurately both everyday people (called laypersons) and healthcare providers (like doctors, nurses, and emergency medical technicians) can estimate the length and depth of chest compressions during cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR). CPR is a lifesaving technique used when someone's heart stops beating. The goal is to understand if there are differences in how well trained professionals and untrained individuals can perform this important task.

To participate in the trial, you need to be an adult aged 18 or older. Laypersons should not have had CPR training in the past two years, while healthcare providers should currently be working in medical facilities. If you join the study, you will likely be asked to estimate the length and depth of chest compressions in a controlled setting. This research is important because it could help improve CPR training and techniques, ultimately leading to better outcomes for patients who need this emergency care.
