ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying the different types of anesthesia used during foot amputations in patients with diabetic foot issues. Diabetic foot can lead to serious problems, including infections and tissue death, which may require amputation. The researchers want to find out if a specific type of anesthesia called peripheral nerve block (PNB) leads to better outcomes compared to general anesthesia, particularly looking at complications and recovery times after surgery.
To participate in this study, you need to be an adult (18 years or older) with diabetic foot requiring toe, ankle, or foot amputation. The research team will review medical records from patients treated at Ankara Bilkent City Hospital from 2021 to 2023. They will examine various factors, like your health history and the type of anesthesia used, to see how these impact your recovery. If you join the study, you can expect that your medical information will be used to help improve surgical care for others facing similar challenges.
