ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying the effects of a specific type of exercise program on young individuals who are overweight or obese. The goal is to see how this program, which focuses on maximizing fat burning during exercise, can improve health markers like cholesterol, blood sugar, and inflammation levels over 16 weeks. Researchers will also look at how exercise might influence certain genetic factors related to fat metabolism and inflammation.
To participate in this trial, individuals should be between 18 and 65 years old, have a body mass index (BMI) of 25 or higher (indicating they are overweight), and have a low level of daily physical activity. Participants must be willing to commit to the exercise sessions and provide informed consent. Those with certain health conditions, high alcohol consumption, or who take supplements or medications may not be eligible. Throughout the study, participants can expect to engage in a regular exercise routine and have their health monitored closely for changes.
