ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying the use of scleral lenses to help people with irregular corneal astigmatism caused by ocular surface diseases. Irregular corneal astigmatism means that the front part of the eye has an uneven shape, which can cause blurry vision and discomfort. The researchers want to see if wearing scleral lenses can improve vision, increase comfort, and enhance overall satisfaction for patients. The study is currently recruiting participants who are at least 18 years old and have been diagnosed with conditions like post-keratoconus or corneal irregularities.
If you choose to participate, you will undergo a thorough eye examination and, if eligible, be fitted with scleral lenses. You will then return for follow-up visits at one week, one month, and three months after getting your lenses to assess how well they are working for you. Throughout the trial, your vision and comfort levels will be closely monitored, and you'll be asked to complete a questionnaire to share your experiences. This trial is important because it aims to improve the quality of life for individuals dealing with challenging eye conditions.
