ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is exploring how healthy breakfasts and morning exercise can help children focus better in the classroom. The study will involve children aged 6 to 11 who are enrolled in a participating school. Over one week, groups of children will be assigned to different activities: some will have both a healthy breakfast and exercise, others will only have breakfast, some will only do exercise, and a final group will not have either. Researchers will then observe how well the children can concentrate during class and complete puzzle-like tasks, using special helmets to measure brain activity.
To be eligible for this trial, children must be between 6 and 11 years old and attend the school taking part in the study. Unfortunately, children younger than 5, older than 12, those not enrolled in the participating school, or those with allergies to dairy or gluten cannot take part. This study aims to better understand how both nutrition and physical activity can impact children's behavior and learning in school.
