ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how a new method of monitoring pain, called Nociception Level (NoL) monitoring, can help manage pain during and after hip surgeries. Hip surgeries can be quite painful, and managing that pain effectively is very important for recovery. The researchers want to see if using NoL monitoring, which looks at different signs from the body to understand pain levels, can lead to better and more personalized pain relief compared to the usual methods that rely on heart rate and blood pressure.
If you're between the ages of 65 and 74 and are scheduled for hip surgery, you might be eligible to participate in this trial, as long as you don’t have certain health issues like severe kidney or lung problems, a history of chronic pain, or allergies to any of the study medications. Participants can expect to be monitored closely during their surgery using this new pain measurement method, which may help doctors give the right amount of pain relief medicine. This study is important because it aims to improve pain management for patients undergoing hip surgery, potentially leading to better outcomes and quicker recoveries.
