ClinConnect Summary
The ConnectedNest clinical trial is exploring a new digital platform designed to help people with cancer connect to social services that can improve their overall well-being. The trial focuses on how social factors—like access to food, stable housing, and financial support—impact the health of cancer patients. By using this platform, called ConnectedNest, participants will be able to receive support from community organizations that can assist them during their cancer treatment and recovery. The goal is to see if this platform can help patients manage these important social needs while they are undergoing cancer therapy.
To take part in the trial, individuals must be 18 years or older, currently receiving cancer treatment or in recovery, and able to read and write in English. They also need to have access to a smartphone or be willing to use one provided by the study. Participants will be recruited from six oncology clinics, and they can expect to use the ConnectedNest platform for a set period while receiving support and resources tailored to their social care needs. The trial aims to improve the health outcomes of those who use the platform, making it an important step in understanding how to better support cancer patients in their communities.
