ClinConnect Summary
The Hastiin Bidziil (Strong Man) Intervention is a clinical trial designed to help Native American men aged 18 to 26 who are struggling with substance use issues. This study is part of a larger project aimed at improving health outcomes related to drug use in Indigenous communities. The goal of the trial is to test a program that helps young men reduce their use of substances, providing support and resources tailored to their needs.
To be eligible for this study, participants must self-identify as American Indian men, be between 18 and 26 years old, and show signs of moderate risk for substance use (excluding tobacco). They should also live within about 60 miles of the study areas in Fort Defiance or Chinle, Arizona. If someone joins the study, they can expect to participate in activities and discussions that focus on reducing substance use and building healthier lifestyles. This trial is currently looking for new participants, so if you think you or someone you know may be interested and meet the criteria, it could be a valuable opportunity for support and change.
