ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at a new training program for parents of children aged 8 to 16 who are dealing with behavior problems, such as being angry, aggressive, or defiant. The program uses a method called cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and includes practicing skills in virtual reality (VR), which means parents will get to experience situations in a safe, simulated environment. The trial aims to find out how effective this program is, how engaged parents are during the training, and what both parents and therapists think about the experience.
To participate, parents need to have a child within the age range who shows signs of oppositional or aggressive behavior and who might be struggling with conflicts at home. Unfortunately, parents of younger children, children over 16, or those with certain mental health issues won't be able to join. Participants can expect to attend individual sessions at a clinic, complete questionnaires before, during, and after the training, and share their thoughts in interviews once the program is finished. This trial is not yet recruiting participants, but it represents an exciting opportunity to help families improve their relationships and manage challenging behaviors.
