ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how orthopedic manual physical therapy can help women who have recently given birth, especially military service members, return to physical activity safely and effectively. Many women experience an increased risk of injuries after childbirth, and often, they do not receive proper guidance on how to get back into exercising. The goal of this trial is to see if specialized physical therapy can improve their fitness and overall health during the postpartum period.
To participate, women must be active-duty service members who are between 6 weeks and 6 months postpartum and have been cleared by their doctor to start exercising again. However, those currently receiving treatment from a physical therapist or who are planning to leave the military soon aren’t eligible. If you join the trial, you can expect to receive a thorough evaluation and treatment from trained physical therapists who will help you safely increase your physical activity levels, which is essential for your well-being after having a baby.
