ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying a treatment for Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori) infection, a common bacteria that can cause stomach problems. Researchers are comparing two different ways of using a treatment called bismuth-containing quadruple therapy, which includes medications like minocycline and metronidazole. They want to find out if adjusting the doses of these medications can help eliminate the infection more effectively while causing fewer side effects.
To participate in this study, individuals must be between 18 and 80 years old and have been diagnosed with H. pylori after previous treatments that didn’t work. Participants will receive a 14-day treatment and will be monitored for how well the therapy works and how they tolerate it. It’s important to note that certain people, such as those who are pregnant, have had stomach surgery, or have serious health conditions, cannot take part in the trial. If you or a family member is interested in learning more or might be eligible, please consider discussing it with a healthcare provider.
