ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying the effects of Zazen meditation on heart health in patients who have recently suffered a heart attack, known as acute myocardial infarction. Researchers want to see if practicing this form of meditation can improve heart rate variability (HRV), which is an important measure of heart health and stress levels. The study involves assessing various factors, including quality of life and some health markers, to determine if meditation can aid in recovery and overall well-being after a heart attack.
To participate, individuals must be over 18 years old, have had a recent heart attack, and be able to attend the hospital for check-ups at least twice a week. Those with certain heart conditions or who cannot walk are not eligible. Participants can expect to monitor their heart health and quality of life before and after meditation sessions, contributing to our understanding of how meditation might help heart recovery. This research is currently looking for volunteers, and it could provide valuable insights into using meditation as a part of heart rehabilitation.
