ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying a new memory assessment tool called the New Evaluation of Episodic Memory (NEM), which is designed to better understand memory in people with memory disorders, particularly Alzheimer’s disease. Current memory tests often overlook important aspects of how memories are formed and connected to our identities and emotions. The researchers believe that by using the NEM, they can provide more accurate diagnoses and insights into how Alzheimer’s affects memory.
To participate in this trial, individuals must be at least 50 years old and have a specific type of memory issue called amnesic Mild Cognitive Impairment (MCI). Participants will go through assessments to see how well they perform on the NEM tool compared to other memory tests. It's important to note that people with severe hearing or vision problems that could interfere with testing, or those who are under legal guardianship, are not eligible to join. This study is currently recruiting participants, and those who take part will help researchers learn more about memory disorders and improve future assessments.
