ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at two different methods to help with a procedure called tracheal intubation, which is done to ensure patients can breathe properly during surgery. The study will compare the use of a muscle relaxant called rocuronium with a powerful pain medication called remifentanil to see which one works better when using a special device called a video laryngoscope, which helps doctors see the airway more clearly. The goal is to find out if using remifentanil can provide good intubation conditions without some of the risks associated with muscle relaxants, like breathing problems or complications during and after surgery.
To participate in this trial, you need to be an adult over 18 who is scheduled for surgery that requires general anesthesia and intubation. However, if you have certain medical conditions, are undergoing specific types of surgeries, or cannot understand Danish or English, you won't be eligible. If you join the trial, you'll be closely monitored during the procedure, and your experience will help researchers determine the safest and most effective way to perform intubation using these two methods.
