ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how the narrowing of the cervical spine, known as cervical stenosis, affects a person's ability to sense the position of their neck and head, a function called proprioception. Neck pain is a common issue that many people face, and as we age, changes in our neck can lead to problems like poor balance and difficulty in stabilizing our posture. The researchers aim to understand the relationship between the degree of cervical stenosis and proprioceptive ability, which could help guide treatment options for neck problems in the future.
To participate in this study, individuals must be 18 years or older and have previously undergone an MRI of their neck that clearly shows the level of stenosis. However, people who are currently experiencing severe neck pain that limits their movement, those with certain neurological or psychiatric conditions, or anyone who has had recent cervical surgery will not be eligible to join. Participants can expect to contribute to important research that may lead to better understanding and treatment of neck-related issues. The trial is currently not recruiting participants, but it aims to provide valuable insights once it begins.
