ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is investigating how using cannabis may affect the stomach before surgery. Researchers will use a special ultrasound machine at the bedside to look at the amount and type of food or liquid in the stomach of patients who have used cannabis in the month before their surgery. The goal is to better understand how cannabis could influence gastric conditions during surgeries.
To participate in this trial, you need to be between 18 and 89 years old and have reported using cannabis before your surgery. However, there are some conditions that may exclude you from joining, such as having had certain types of stomach surgery or specific health issues like diabetes or chronic kidney disease. If you participate, you can expect a simple ultrasound exam to help doctors gather important information about your stomach before your surgery. Remember, this trial is not yet recruiting, so there will be more details available as it gets closer to starting.
