ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is studying two different methods of providing pain relief for patients undergoing surgery for a broken thigh bone (femur). Specifically, it aims to compare the effectiveness of two ultrasound-guided techniques: the S-FICB block and the PENG block. Both methods help doctors target specific nerves to reduce pain during and after surgery, but this study will see which one works better for easing discomfort when patients need to sit up for spinal anesthesia, how long the pain relief lasts, and any side effects that may occur.

To participate in this study, individuals must be between 20 and 70 years old, have a confirmed femur fracture, and be generally healthy (classified as ASA Class I, II, or III). Those who do not want to participate, have other painful conditions, or have certain medical issues may not be eligible. Participants can expect to receive one of the two pain relief methods and will be monitored for their pain levels and any complications. The results of this trial could help doctors choose the best approach for pain management in similar surgeries in the future.
